Ok, my first thought is that the new battery is faulty. As odd as it sounds, I have seen it a few times. Did you try getting a replacement or charging that one?

Where's the reset button at

There is no reset button. taking the battery off and waiting 10 minutes is the reset to do. Otherwise we need a shop scanner to see what is happening.
