- Do you have a pressure gauge so we can do a line pressure test on each gear?

Thanks,
It may be best to let a transmission shop diagnose this since you do not have the tools needed. If it is full of fluid, the shift cable is adjusted correctly, all connectors are plugged up. It should at least engage into D and R if there are no concerns internal with the pump and clutches. We need to know if the pump is doing its job by doing a pressure test prior to taking the trans apart starting with the valve body.
Thank you for visiting Just Answer, I hope I was able to answer your question. If you need to follow up on this concern please use the reply button. If you like my answer please reply so I can mark your question complete. Moose

A compression tester is for air pressure, not hydraulic pressure and it will not have the attachments you need.

So you are saying it is showing there is no line pressure being made by the pump in any gear?
Chris (aka-Moose)

Automotive Expert
No line pressure can mean:
- low on transmission oil
- The pump is cavitating from the filter not being secure or it is cracked
- faulty pump
- cracked pump
- pressure control valve stuck open and venting all made pressure right back into the pan.
The transmission needs to be removed and taken apart to inspect, repair, and overhaul.

Hello - most likely problem for this "no go (https://www.yourmechanic.com/question/when-it-turns-on-it-does-not-move-forward-but-does-move-in-reverse-easily-by-joseph)" condition is a failure of the forward sprag (a one-way clutch) in the transmission.
