We need to determine if the vehicle doesn't have spark or fuel first.
Spark can be checked by using an inline spark tester.
Fuel can be checked by spraying a little starting fluid into the intake and cranking the vehicle immediately to see if it will run momentarily. Has your husband tested either of those?
