Also I got my front brakes and rotors replaced yesterday and my check brake pads warning keeps popping up and Ive driven over 10miles since. Brakes even sound strange like some kind of friction is going on. The rear needs brake caliper, rotor and brakes but the warning didn’t come on until after the front was serviced yesterday

Hello this is Jason again. Looking like you posted in the Chevy category, but is this still the VW that you have the question about?

Lol yes I was just about to delete this and rewrite it so thanks

All good. Can you tell me if OE or OEM pads were used, and if not did the pads that were used have the sensor built into the left inner pad?

Im really not sureI will try to find that out for you asap
Automotive Expert
That's important. If they were aftermarket pads without the built in wear sensor, than that light will stay on, unless you replace with other brake pads that include the sensor, or cut the sensor plug off of the old brake pad, twist the wires together to jumper them, and plug it in.

Oem parts, i bought them from amazon from brand detroit axle
Automotive Expert
Detroit axle isn't an OEM manufacturer for VW. Textar, Jurid, Pagid, TRW are the typical OEM

You suggest I replace them immediately or disengage the sensor?
Automotive Expert
If the brakes are working well, I'd just jumper the sensor plug, if it were me.

Okay thanks alot man

Sure thing, any time

Why does my 2012 Chevrolet Sonic only rev to 3500 rpm in park.
This is normal for your vehicle. The vehicle is designed not to be overrevved when it is in park. When you start driving the computer recognizes this and allows it to rev higher. I would not worry about this unless...
2005 Nissan Altima SE 3.5L, motor mount replacement

Is it true that if a timing chain is bad it means the engine needs to be rebuilt or replaced?
This is largely dependent upon whether or not the motor is what is considered to be an "interference motor" or not, meaning that the timing belt or chain (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/timing-belt-replacement) being stopped or damaged will cause a drastic stop or damage...
