Can I ask who I am talking to today?
Your engine light displays when an electronic problem occurs with the engine, such as a misfire.
The ESP warning light has also illuminated because of the engine rough running.
I would suggest a scan for codes at your Chevy dealer.

SonyaI never noticed any problems until I went through a car wash. The first time, after leaving, I felt and heard a bumping from under the car and I know I didn't run over anything. The car ran fine so I didn't worry about it. The next time I went through the same car wash, after I left my engine light came on. Could it have caused some damage?

Your Chevy dealer is your best avenue for diagnosis.
Late model GM vehicles need a laptop, that many small shops don't have the program for.
The car wash scenarios could have been your [brakes](/topics-brakes/) were wet and can give a strange sensation after driving off.
The 2nd time around is now the larger concern.
The engine bay has got wet, and sometimes this could cause an electrical issue.
If this is only happened in the last 2 days, has the car sat overnight to dry out, since it could be ok now?
I would still get the car looked at, scanned for history codes, and codes cleared.
