Hi my name is \*\*\*\*\* \*\*\*\*\* I'll try to help you with this issue, the website may ask if you want a call. but that is up to you. So a flashing light would mean that you have a missfire , which you started in the right area, but it could be a plug or wires or a rotor button or dist cap, or an injector issue , or a vacuum leak or a compression problem

Okay I appreciate that. I replaced all of the spark plugs and am going to replace the wires ttoo. I replaced the rotor and distributor cap. How would I go about being able to tell if it's an injector issue or vaccum leak or compression problem? What are some of the signs that point towards that?
Automotive Expert
well first you can do a compression test just to tell if the engine is good first, then just look for any vacuum leaks after that can you try to get codes so you know where to look?

Okay what does a vacuum leak look like? Sorry I don't know much about cars. I dont know how to get codes

then as to vacuum leaks just look at the vacuum lines and look for split rubber or disconnected rubber hoses.

I'm wondering why my car won't start in 50 degrees or lower temperatures
Hi there. If your engine is cranking over and it's difficult to start, the issue may be caused by a damaged distributor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/distributor-rotor-and-cap-replacement) or ignition coil (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/ignition-coil-replacement). Especially if it's cracked and condensation is seeping into the electrical system. Other...
