Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the coolant? Have you checked for a leak in the cooling system?
I just got coolant work done a few months back to fix a leak.. it doesn't seem like the coolant level has gone down in months though
Mechanic's Assistant: What year is your Spark?
It's a cobalt 2006
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Spark yourself? What have you tried so far?
It all started when i got a oil top off at jiffy lube and they put too much oil.. i got a oil change after that and it ran pretty smoothly for 5 days. .now the same issue is occuring

Greetings. I work here helping customers like you repair their vehicle. Let’s begin with a diagnosis, plan and repair that will save you money.
Bad spark plugs? I doubt that.
i would retrieve the engine trouble codes from the powertrain control module.
Most likely it already knows the problem and has set codes.
Make sure if this has electric engine cooling fan or fans they work when hot and if not check the fuse's and try new relay

Oil filters have a very important, yet really dirty job to perform. I don’t think even Mike Rowe (http://www.discovery.com/tv-shows/dirty-jobs/) would want to tackle the dirty job of an oil filter (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-do-oil-filters-work). Before we talk about the oil filter, let’s talk...
The immobilizer system is a standard feature on all Civics, and it provides important safety and theft protection for your vehicle. Here’s how it works: The system ensures that the car will not start unless a programmed master key or...
The two codes point to two different problems. The code P0501 indicates a possible problem with the vehicle speed sensor. The code P0753 point to a possible problem to shift solenoid A in the transmission. Both of these problems could...
Hello. Brakes are one of the more important systems on the car, so they should be repaired sooner than later. Being that there are a few variables here I would say there are two options: 1) Take the vehicle back...
Hello. It is common for this engine to consume oil as it ages (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/What-Does-It-Mean-When-My-Car-Is-Burning-Oil_3). Typically the oil consumption comes from the valve stem seals. The only way to repair it is with rebuilding the cylinder head. I usually will look...
The only reset button I can think you are talking about is the fuel pump reset inertia switch. The vehicle you listed does not use one. You have a fuel pump powered by a fuel pump relay in the the...
Hello - the codes you list (besides the P0101 for the MAF) reference problems with the oxygen sensors (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-oxygen-sensor) and a knock sensor (P0327) for your engine. These are normal higher mileage maintenance items, and do NOT require replacing the...
Hi there. It's actually a problem with vehicles over 10 to 15 years of age in general. What typically occurs is that the ignition relay will be come damaged after years of continual wear and tear. This is most likely...
Sounds like the water pump went bad and broke the timing belt and now the engine will not start. Have the engine timing checked and the water pump to see if it is broken.
