Hi, I have a 2014 Chevy Equinox and one windshield wiper works and one does not. Unfortunaley, it is the driver side that doesn't work and I got caught in a bad rain storm the other day.
Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the fuses? Do you know if there is power to the wiper motor?
I do not know how to do that, but since the other wiper works, I assume the motor is okay?
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Equinox yourself? What have you tried so far?
Nothing yet, I am just trying to get an idea of what it may be
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
No, thank you

If one side works, that tells us the circuit to it is good
if the driver side is not moving, it could be loose at the wiper motor connection to the Wiper Arm or the Wiper Arm
splines ( teeth) has sheared and the wiper arm will need to be replaced?
what is the mileage on it now /

The all-wheel drive (AWD) lock light means that the all-wheel drive system (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-all-wheel-drive-works) is locked. In this condition, power is continuously sent to all four wheels. On the other hand, when the system is in auto all-wheel drive, the distribution...

If both of these features quit working at the same time, you may just have blown a fuse (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-a-bad-or-failing-fuse). If neither one of these are related, the problem may be two separate ones. The power locks are controlled by a...
Hi, thanks for writing in. I would recommend checking the mass air flow sensor (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/what-does-the-mass-airflow-sensor-do) as this is a commonly known part that can cause this kind of loss of power. This regulates the air intake into the fuel injection...

Hi there - this could be more than one problem. The alternator and "hard steering" issues could be a failed accessory belt, which drives both the alternator and the power steering pump. The VSC, ABS brake light, and traction control...
