Car will go in gear but won't move forward or back

My car has 150000 miles.
My car has an automatic transmission.

Hello there, thanks for writing in. A few different faults can cause your 2002 Kia Optima to not go forward or back. The most common would be low transmission fluid, transmission shift linkage faulty, transmission oil pump, or a transmission mechanical issue. A qualified technician such as one from YourMechanic will be able to diagnose your car not moving issues and make any repairs required. Hope this helps and best of luck
