Got stuck in snow and now I can't go in reverse

Ok. Just want to let you know that I can drive my van just fine in driveI tried reversing and then turning the wheel and then going forwardThen my wheels just stopped turning while in reverse

ok this is not an AWD vehicle correct? just front wheel drive?

ok, the reverse clutches inside the transmission are burnt out from trying to rock the van back and forth. the first thing I would do is to check the transmission fluid. make sure it full, reddish pink and doesnt smell burnt
