Hi there. Most of the time the trac off will come on when there is a powertrain problem. This can be voltage related or it may have a crankshaft position sensor that is failing among other parts. I usually start by scanning the computer for codes. The computer will usually record codes when it sees a problem such as this. The brake control module which controls the traction system will need to be scanned also. Any codes will assist in diagnosing this problem. If nothing is found there then the car will need to be tested when the problem is actually occurring to isolate what it is. If you are going to get this repaired, have a technician from YourMechanic come to your home or office to inspect your stalling problem and the Traction Control Light.
