Boy are you going to have fun finding this unit. The only year you can use for this car is a 2014. The only good news is any of the 2014 impreza's no matter the engine all use this trans.

If you are getting a used unit, it is best to get one out of a wrecked car, this way you know the unit was good when it was last driven.

I don't think you have to reprogram it if you swap the tpms out of the old trans into the new one. Let me double check that to make sure.

No you do not have to program this unit, nor do you have to swap out the tpm. All you will need to do is just swap out the unit and make sure it is full of cvt fluid.
