Sure. So you're having an issue with the rear wiper motor. I see you've already replaced it twice in the last 4 years? Where did you purchase the motor from?
Automotive Expert
Here are the diagnostic instructions for the rear wiper circuit. I've included the replacement instructions for the wiper motor as well. It's difficult to say what is causing the motors to fail. Depending on what type of motors you are using (i.e. remanufactured vs. new) they have different fail rates. The good news is almost every manufacturer offers a lifetime parts warranty on wiper motors. With the labor being easy, around 1/2 hour to replace that would be an easy option. Once you get into the door I would look at the wiring to ensure that the connectors are good. However the circuit is fuse protected so a power surge should not damage the motor. Unlike the front motor there is no wiper transmission so nothing to bind up outside of the motor itself. I’m glad that I was able to answer your question today. My goal is to ensure you receive a 5 STAR experience. Once you’re satisfied with my answer please take the time to rate me 5 stars at the top of your computer screen or by following the link on your phone. I would recommend having your alternator (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/alternator-replacement) tested for proper function with a digital multimeter by a qualified technician. Hi there. For your engine not starting and cutting off, check the battery and see if it has lost a charge. Then check the warning lights to see what is coming on that could cause the engine to stall (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/car-is-stalling-inspection)....
My truck had no oil so the engine started knocking but I only went maybe a half a mile down the road is my engine ruined
To answer your first question, "Is my engine dead?", I would fix the leak, add oil and see if the truck runs and if it runs, see if there's any noise. If the engine does run, and there is no...
