My motorcycle pops a lot after I rev it a bit. And it wants to stall often when its running cold... sometimes while riding, cold or hot, there's a tendency for it to lag on acceleration. Could it be something otjer than a cran ratio issue? If it is a ration issue how could i know for SURE if its running lean or rich? Mechanic's Assistant: Where exactly do you think the noise is coming from? And how long has this been going on? I just got the bike two days ago. Its a 97 but the previous owner said he just had the carburetor rebuilt. Mechanic's Assistant: What is the make/model of your '97 bike? Suzuki intruder. VS 800. Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your bike yourself? What have you tried so far? Well the engine was clicking a lot. So i tightened the exhaust manifold nuts and that stopped. But i haven't done anything to address the popping. I want to fix it myself if possible. Its my project bike. Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you? Just all the stuff i said so far.
