My amber front and the brake lights did not go off after I turned off the car last night. I didn't notice until this morning and they won't go out. The car still starts. Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the brake fluid? How's the level and when was it last changed? I had checked the break lights last year and it's full now. I also just checked the door locks, ran the car five minutes and the lights are still on. I have been having issues with the right sliding door not opening (I don't use the left sliding door since it was damaged in a car accident in 2015). It's an old, rusty 2002 Pontiac Montana, it's running well, but is having issues with gas leaking out when I gas up (the gas meter hadn't worked since 2017 and had started not taking in gas even though it was full, now it's leaking gas from under the car after only taking in $5.00. I got a new fuel pump in October, 2020. I really need another car but don't want a car note. The maintenance has been minimal. Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Montana yourself? What have you tried so far? No, I'm using a street mechanic, I didn't want to call him this early and my neighbor had asked me to push the brake pedal (and I didn't see the point, but I did and it didn't affect the lights).
