The site asks for the phone call disreagrd .Yes the flashing engine light is due to a misfire usually caused by a faulty spark plug or coil. I would start with the tune up and this should take care of the issue. There is a slight chance this is internal but not common. Tune up is too much and if replacing air filtefuel lines or than emission stuff OMGI paid too much on advice and can’t put out another $26 to call

Start with the plugs and checking the coil packs might just be a shorted coil.

Not good to pay for info membership and get hit w another fee to call I could use that on tune up I can’t afford and now really can’t get no tanks Crap service

Ok this is what you do is check the coil pack as this is the most common problem for this fault .You can actually see by eye if its burned or overheated or cracked. I totally get money is tight its bad for everyone. Hopefully it gets better.

if I want a full tune up over $240 Can’t get my brother to help and still parts over $125 can’t afford and if air filter fuel hose change over $125-$250 or more onif still not the issues a fuel line or more cat converter again 600-900$ Sensors three of them hunfldreds$

Absolutely you both can do this no problem but check that coil. From what you are describing its just misfiring so doubtful its the cat or fuel lines or sensors.

Well I hope u r right But I duck taped and Wired the air fuel line that was disturbed in a shop checking inspection a yr ago Also they made my air bag light on as well messed up my control shift control tore out the cover they had a VW they seemed to need parts for It went in fir inspection came out w all this mess

Air bag light on can I still inspect w air bag light in in NcCan I drive around if coil is problem till I can get to fixI know I can’t inspect w engine light on but is air bag as it’s been on my last yr inspectionThey gave me back my car after inspection w air bag light on moved my seat around and messy air filter hose and took cover off hand shift after inspection and glove compartment broken

Yes it will pass for the aibag light as long as all the seatbelts work. As for driving with the misfire it can damage the engine if you do it to long.

Ok there's an issue with that number 2 cylinder check that spark plug first.

I put gas treatment in a few days ago as I was getting low on gas the engine light went out. So I dropped by inspection station and past. Could the unknown code Be bad gas ie methane ?I still will change plugs when I get the funds.Ignition coil is not so easy to get to. 48$ off brand on line for a non diesel 2.0 engine. Stores r going over $100. First I’ll get plugs and check tire pressure. Also only try to use gas stations I trust.I put stop so I could get a rating 5 star on your help and advise.

I appreciate the time; I put more gas and ignition cleaner in tank before I fill and if I can get my brother I might get pugs that need angled plug removers and thigh spots those 2and 3 plugs as u would know. Maybe later funds ok I’ll look to the ignition coil. But how would I see Pin hole on pressure hoses as all look grossly intact. Short of changing most again; funds. But thank you /thy U gave me calm and hope.

This sounds like the transmission is slipping.
