Q: Car alarm seems to prevent motor from turning on
The alarm does not turn off, and the motor won't turn on.
Hello. If this is the factory alarm then you need to try another key as yours may not be registering. You can also try unlocking and locking the driver side door over and over a few times to see if the alarm will detect the key being used. If the alarm does not stop then the anti theft module may be failing. If this is an aftermarket alarm then it may need to be removed and replaced as they are not typically serviceable.
