Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked to make sure the thermostat is working? What about the coolant level?
Coolant level is good. Have no checked thermostat yet. There is no fluid in passenger floor. I was thinking thermostat first.
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Charger yourself? What have you tried so far?
I’ve tried nothing yet, was just trying to get an idea of where to start first and yes, fixing myself, depending on the job.
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?
No, I think that’s all.

Good Afternoon
That sounds like you are low on anti freeze
Try running it with the cap off it may have an air pocket in the cooling system

Coolant is full. I don’t have the 50/50 in it either. I have the straight antifreeze.Okay will do. If that doesn’t work? Do you think it might possibly be thermostat or something else?

Hello. I suspect that the idle air control valve is faulty. The idle air control valve is supposed to smoothly adjust the engine's idle to the changing driver conditions, like stopping at a light. If it is malfunctioning, it can...
Sounds like you have a clogged fuel filter or dirty injector ports. You may want to try putting a can of Seafoam in your gas tank and see if this will help clean your fuel system out. If you still...
Hi there: Climate controlled vehicles have multiple electrical relays that open and close vents to maintain the desired temperature. In some instances, these relays can wear out overtime. However, it's also common for debris to clog up vents (especially side...
Hi - the mass air flow meter (MAF) (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/how-to-buy-a-good-quality-mass-airflow-sensor) is located in between the air cleaner housing, and the engine's intake manifold. It is a black plastic cylinder about the size of a large coffee cup, with an electrical connector...
Hi there. It sounds like you have a fuel pump failing. What may be happening is the fuel pump runs for a few minutes, heats up, then shuts down. I've experienced this same condition in my history. I suggest having...
Hello, thank you for writing in. The vehicle's instrument cluster has a message center in the middle which will display a variety of information. You are able to change the display and the message that it carries with the appropriate...
Hello - this is a judgement call. It is common practice, but not a "standard", to replace the thermostat when replacing the water pump. This is mainly due to access to both easily when replacing either one, and the relatively...
If you can hear the motor run in both directions but the window regulator is broken then you should not have a problem replacing just the regulator. I would suggest replacing the motor and regulator as an assembly since the...
