Hello I have a 1979 Toyota Pickup Truck an I wanted to save money from having it towed to my house an the mechanic told me that I could pull it off he disconnected the drive shaft an so I let him do it. So I get home an try to connect the drive shaft back but couldn't get the drive shaft to line up with the back because the two holes was facing sideways an the drive shaft holes was facing left to right. So can I Jack the truck up an turn the back wheels slowly to line all the holes up with one another?
Mechanic's Assistant: Do you have power steering? Have you checked the power steering fluid?
Yes it's good
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your Truck yourself? What have you tried so far?
Yes I'm trying to do it myself an I've checked the transmission fluid and it's all good. So I just don't know what to do next. I can't move it from park to neutral or anything it just stays in the park position. I'm only guessing because the drive shaft is disconnected from the rear end

HI..........
Should be able to put in Neutral and insert driveshaft into Transmission and turn to line up rear
OR
yes, you can SAFELY Raise the rear wheels off ground and turn so the Drive shaft lines up on the U-joints
.
Let me know if you need further.......

I will get back here an speak to you further. I'm not at the Toyota Pickup as of this moment. I was yesterday trying to figure this all out. I couldn't move it to neutral an it would just strongly stay in the park position an I was afraid to put to much pressure on the stick to pull it down to neutral because I was afraid that I might break it. I was only guessing because the drive shaft was disconnected from the back but that was the reason why it was not go down to neutral. So if it should go down into neutral without the drive shaft connected then will I have another problem?I would rather prefer just to message each other. I can pretty much figure it out by your explanation

sorry for the delay.........NO Internet
Yes Transmission will go into Neutral, for Automatic or Manual Transmission
Automatic, key needs to be on so Shifter will come out of Park
Manual, press clutch and shift to neutral
Still not sure what you need?

Hello. MAP stands for manifold absolute pressure. So the answer to your question would be that it is the manifold absolute pressure sensor that there is something wrong with. The map sensor reads the pressure in the manifold and sends...
Hello. If you are not able to get pressure to come to the calipers, you will have to use a scan tool to activate the bleed function of the abs. Otherwise, you will not be able to get fluid out...
Hello. If replacing those particular components did not correct the issue then the next thing I would look at is the vehicle's voltage regulator. It appears that this engine's electrical system is equipped with an external voltage regulator that functions,...

Hi there. Yes, when you remove the valve covers you need to remove the spark plugs first. I would highly recommend having an air hose and spraying off that entire spark plug area first to make sure you don't have...

I do not show any R10 Suburban having 4x4 and do show a V10 Suburban does. The actuator on this vehicle is on the transfer case and is vacuum controlled.
Hi Danny. Thanks for the question today. When a fuel injector circuit is open, it means that the fuel injector or the electrical harness connected to it is damaged, which prohibits the injector to open and close as required. The...
You will need to have computer and transmission tested to see if codes are stored and see if transmission is shifting into high gear and then torque converter lockup is releasing on deceleration. You may have transmission solenoid issues.
