Hi. I'm Daniel and assisting you today on your inquiry. I'm sorry to hear about the issue you have with your X5.
Did the oil level or oil pressure warning come up?
What happens now if you try to start it? Is the starter engaging and cranking the engine over or is nothing happening at all?

Hi.
Following up on our conversation.
Without the information requested I can only give you a general answer at this point.
Please have the engine oil level checked and inspect the engine& engine bay for a visible leak.
From you description it is possible that the "oil pressure" warning came on. Unfortunately in this scenario it is possible that we have a "mechanical " engine failure due to the loss of oil pressure that needs to be diagnosed properly.
If you need a capable shop to take a look at it, check out www.bimmershops.com.
I'm sorry that you have to deal with this, I know it can be frustrating.
Let me know how it goes and if I can provide anything else at this point.

Hello. A scan tool will not tell you why this light is on. It is on because the brakes are worn out (https://www.yourmechanic.com/article/symptoms-of-bad-or-failing-brake-pads). You need to inspect them and replace the worn out ones and install new wear sensors. These...
Hello, thanks for writing in. I'd be happy to offer my insight. This can be caused by a lack of power from the engine or a transmission issue. I usually check the computer for any codes first to see if...
Both of these codes are related to the oxygen sensor readings. More often than not, this will be caused by failing oxygen sensors (https://www.yourmechanic.com/services/oxygen-sensor-replacement). There could be other issues that can cause these codes, such as an engine misfire, failing...
