No
Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your X5 3.0si yourself? What have you tried so far?
Changing battery trying a ac delete belt...
Mechanic's Assistant: Anything else you want the Mechanic to know before I connect you?

Hello my name is\*\*\*\*\* will be assisting you today.
I hope your day is going well so far.
May I ask your name?
also, there were 2 options that I see, 1 serpentine belt or 2,
can you send me a photo of the front of your [engine](/topics-engine/)?

then please take one when you can.
if you run the engine with no belt it should prove the ac compressor is the issue, I do not see a ac delete for this model.
you will have to have the ac compressor replaced.

for cars without ac I would imagine more pulleys, to allow tension from the tensioner.

But that ac delete belt is for my car right?if I change the battery do I have to reset the idrive or watever?

Automotive Expert
when you change the battery you need a scanner to code the battery into the cars computer.
as for that belt, its not an ac delete belt, its a belt for no ac option, theres a difference, i am not sure that belt will work for you my friend.

Wat about resetting the car computer

Automotive Expert
there is no such thing as a reset.
you either fix problems and clear any codes, or you program the new battery specs into the computer.
that is it.
everyone out there is looking for some "reset" there is no such thing.
there are processes to follow.
so once the battery is installed you need a scanner to program the specs into the module and then check for any codes and address them.
i know this may sound like general information but thats the process.
attack the issues as they come.
there is either broken or fixed, no reset.
