John did a great job with my truck. It wouldn't start and I had to get it towed back to my house. He came to do an inspection and he actually got my truck started. He told me I might have a fuel filter/fuel pump issue. Even though I decided not to replace them right now I will definitely use John again for the next issue I have.

John was very courteous and professional and He took the time to explain in detail why my car wouldn't start and what steps to take when checking for possible solutions I am a do it yourself guy and he didn't hesitate to share his knowledge with me. He even gave me a good tip for my other car if I ever happen to have a similar problem.

John was prompt, worked in a slight drizzle/rain and did a good job. But the work he did was just a small part of the service. He spent much more time inspecting everything else, walking me through his observations and giving me recommendations. All of which I appreciated. Also, he is very honest. I tried to hire him for additional work and he let me know that I should book him through Your Mechanic. Then when I tried to tip him a few bucks he explained that the techs aren't supposed to accept tips. His honesty on both fronts was impressive to say the least. I will use the service again and I'd recommend John and the service to anyone else. Thanks again John.

I requested service from MyMechanic because one of the employees at the Lexus dealership in Serramonte said that my timing belt, waterpump, and brake fluid all needed to be changed and that it would be dangerous not to do so. When John arrived he did a quick examination of my car and was surprised to learn that it came from the same dealership he used to work at. He was equally surprised that the employee said I needed repairs because apparently the timing belt, water pump, etc. do not need to be changed until at least 90k miles (my car currently has 75-76k miles). He said mechanics will often overcharge for nonexistent problems when they see a "novice," which I totally am when it comes to cars. In the end John only charged me $50 for the diagnostic (as opposed to the $700+ I would've paid for the repairs) and also gave me some helpful pointers about cleaning out the filtration system and testing the shock absorbers. I really appreciate John's honesty and am glad I went with MyMechanic instead of paying the $3,000+ quote the Lexus dealership gave me for the same job. Will definitely recommend these services to family and friends.
