David Mattera was responsive and professional. He called me a day prior to appointment and arrived half an hour early. He explained to me what to expect. I really like the service.

I read reviews, but I never write them. David just left and all I want to do is write a review. David is experienced, knowledgeable, honest, trustworthy, professional, kind, and I could go on and on. I made an appointment for Wednesday, and he called me to see if I needed service sooner. He doesn't work on Sundays but he came out to fix my car so I could drive to work tomorrow!! He wasn't just prompt, he was EARLY. I am so thankful to him for saving me from three awful days of public transportation. If you need a mechanic, make an appointment with Your Mechanic and request David if he is available. You will be very happy that you did.

Had a 90k tune up for my Jeep Cherokee, as well as my rear window regulator replaced. In the online form, I'd accidentally selected "replace switch" instead of "replace regulator" - when David called in the morning I let him know of the error, and he picked up the correct parts and my bill was edited appropriately. David was friendly and really took his time (nearly 5 hours - much more time than I would expect at a shop) and gave me feedback without suggesting any upsells besides new tires, which I badly need. The entire service ran $660, as opposed to the $1300 I was quoted at the Jeep dealership. The best part was this all took place while I was at work. Very satisfied, and will be sparing myself the trip to Jiffy Lube/ dealerships in the future. Thanks David!

David came over to my house in SF for a synthetic oil change on my 2012 Honda Fit. He was extremely professional, efficient, and thoroughly answered all my oil change questions. He called me on his way to confirm the appointment, and completed the job right on my driveway in less than an hour. This was my first time using Your Mechanic site after getting a Groupon - I was honestly a bit weary, but working with David was completely pain-free. David was very professional. He did call that he was running late. He answered all my questions regarding my call. I needed new brakes and had a problem with a "banging" sound the car was making during a turn. Even though he did not completely fix the banging problem with my car, (even though it was the issue was with Subaru), he was very thorough in explaining the reasoning behind the diagnosis he gave. David said that he would arrange a time to meet again to fix the problem. There was no pressure to fix this problem right away. I would recommend using David.

David came over to my car when I was at home. He said he was running late since he was coming from the East Bay but he did call beforehand. David fixed my car before to try to solve this problem but he was not successful. He did fix the problem this time. David showed me the old parts and explained it was a design flaw with Subaru. That was the reason he was not successful in fixing my car the first time. He worked fast and answered all my questions. I would recommend David to fix your car.

Great company that provided a super mechanic named David. I would highly recommend Your Mechanic and especially David. David went above and beyond what was required to ensure my brakes were to my satisfaction. David diagnosed my problem as a broken brake line and instead of taking the easy way out and ordering the part (which would have taken 2 days to get) he "coupled" around the hole and had my van working. Even though the job took longer than expected, I was charged what was quoted (how often does that happen?). If you need mechanical work, don't waste your time with the rest just use the best: YOUR MECHANIC AND REQUEST DAVID YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.

David arrived on time (actually, we even started earlier as we both were available before the scheduled time) and was always courteous during the service. David provided a great customer experience and made 100% sure that my requirements/asks were met and that the service was according to Toyota's specifications. He worked very accurately and double checked everything before handing the car back to me. He even pointed out something that was damaged at an earlier oil change (performed at one of the nation-wide oil change chains) and provided documentation/pictures. We had a nice chat during the service (though there is no need to stick around during the service and David even offered to call me once he's done).

David was awesome about communicating with me (letting me know he was running late and throughout the actual service) and making the experience as easy as possible for me. He picked up my car key from outside my apartment, worked on the car, and brought the key right back to me. His report was comprehensive, and I feel confident in his work. The experience was great, and I'd recommend YourMechanic to friends and family.
