Brake light bulbs are located at the back of the car, housed inside a protective covering (lens). The brake light turns on when you push the brake pedal, letting drivers know that you are slowing down. A dead brake light bulb will never work, and your car will be devoid of this important safety feature. Not having working brake lights is also illegal, and can result in a hefty "fix-it" ticket.
