What is lubricating the steering and suspension all about?

The steering and suspension systems work together to make the vehicle handle smoothly and comfortably.   • Apply grease to the zerk fittings of all the steering and suspension parts.

Read the vehicle’s manual to see if the manufacturer has certain suggestions for lubrication and other preventative maintenance on the suspension and steering. When accessing parts for servicing, inspect each and every connection for points that can be lubricated. Some points will require a grease gun while others will require aerosol lubricant. Wipe down dusty or muddy parts with a rag while lubricating to ensure the new lubricant stays clean for as long as possible. Check parts for excess wear and other signs of friction while inspecting.

Mr. Moton is a kind & respectful man, punctual, and knowledgeable of all makes & models of vehicles. He is also a distinguished U.S. military veteran. This was our second vehicle service from YourMechanic. Mr. Moton performed an oil change (including oil filter & 3 o-rings), engine coolant temperature sensor replacement, & trunk/steering/etc. lubrication on our BMW 7-series vehicle...the tasks were performed properly and in a timely manner. 'YourMechanic' is a convenient service as the mechanics come to you (home or designated place) to repair your vehicle and the cost of parts, labor, etc. is less than what a dealership, independent repair shop, etc. would charge for the same services + you interact directly with the mechanic performing all work on your vehicle vice a 'go-between' salesperson, 'service representative', 'service manger', etc...who are not the actual mechanics. Dealerships and other repair shops have overhead expenses, such as real estate/rent, utilities (electric, water, gas, etc.), additional employees (managers, sales/service representatives, etc.), parts inventory, heavy/light equipment, tools, etc. and those costs are passed on to the consumer just to keep their operations afloat. The 'YourMechanic' business model removes many of those additional business expenses into a simple online scheduling & service system + the local mechanics, which = lower costs for the consumer and a more personalized/convenient 'house call' vehicle service.
