Opening up the hood and checking the condition of a few filters, fluids, and plugs, Travis found some evidence that made the diagnosis even more likely. Now, I have a much better sense of what may be going on, some specific next steps in the plan, and a solid quote for additional work that needs to be done anyway - and going through the same process with the local garage might have taken days, and cost ten times more.
