Tyler is excellent! He came out to replace my alternator, which I'd been led to believe was the problem causing my car to randomly decide to not start. He checked everything and very thoroughly explained the results he got to me (an automotive know-nothing). Instead of just replacing the alternator, since that's what I said I wanted, he found that that -doesn't- seem to be the problem and worked out a plan of action with me that is both efficient and cost-effective. I've never felt less intimidated while seeking assistance from a professional (car, computer, even the doctor!).

Tyler went above and beyond to make sure my car was in great shape! He also checked my tire pressure, cleaned my underbody, and drove my car to make sure everything was fine. He will be replacing my tire rods! I will definitely use him for everything regarding my car from this day forward!

Above and beyond... That's really all that needs to be said for the experience. Tyler came out to my office to replace my ignition switch and ignition lock cylinder and was just super friendly. With the lock cylinder, without any background, he recognized that the part didn't match the age of the vehicle as I has a new steering column put in after my Jeep was stolen. He didn't even have to talk to me about it and identified the correct model year for the setup I have, not even in the general date range, but the exact year! Clearly very knowledgeable and super friendly on top of that. I'd definitely recommend him as a mechanic to anyone I know!

He was prompt. I also appreciated he let me know ahead of time he was coming and where he was coming from, so I knew when to expect him. He was very, very thorough. I was surprised and pleased with the dedication and time he took in the extreme heat of Houston. It helped me make a sound decision on the car we were thinking of buying.

My initial experience with Tyler was definitely a positive one. I'm feeling less concerned about maintaining an older car after speaking with him and discovering just how convenient YourMechanic can be.

First time using the service. Tyler arrived on time (actually early) and got to work immediately. He explained everything and completed the work within the estimated time frame. He then again explained the completed work and let me know what routine services were coming due. He also told me what was in good shape. I didn't feel like I was being "upsold", just informed. He did a great job and I am quite pleased that I choose this company to do business with, and that I got Tyler as my mechanic today.
