I've been an automotive technician for 8 years and have worked as a mechanic in the military. I gained a lot of experience working at Ford, Chevrolet, and Dodge dealerships, particularly with diesel engines, transmissions, rear ends, head gaskets, and building motors. I'm experienced with almost all makes and models and always give 100% to every diagnosis, repair, and service I perform on a car.

Mike was the first mechanic that actual diagnosed the problem with my car. I had been dealing with the rattling and vibrations in my car for about two years and several mechanics had been unable to find the problem. At this visit, Mike recommended that I replace my front CV axles and two motor mounts. He scheduled the repairs for the following Saturday (2 days later) and I was grateful to not have to wait a long time!

Mike installed the new CV axle on the passenger side of my car during this appointment. He was able to determine that only one of my motor mounts needed to be replaced (instead of 2) but that the part would have to come from Ford which he would pick up after Labor Day. The driver's side CV axle was stuck in my transmission and he would need more time to fix that at the next appointment. He offered to reschedule his next appointment but I was completely fine with waiting on that repair. I noticed that my car was running a bit smoother but the rattling of my motor mount was still pretty distracting and my car still had issues shifting gears.

The motor mount had arrived from Ford and Mike had it installed in less than 30 minutes in the parking lot at my work! He took it for a test drive and everything was running great so he did not need to replace the driver's side CV axle. He mentioned I would need to get it replaced in the near future (~10,000 miles). Driving my car without any loud rattling was a new and wonderful experience for me since I had been dealing with car issues for about 2 years at this point. It was like driving a brand new car! Unfortunately, after a few days, my car started to make a strange sound that I could tell was coming from the driver's side front tire so I believe I need to get that CV axle replaced after all. I am excited to be done with major car repairs soon and am grateful for all of Mike's hard work!
