As an Army airborne veteran, I began my automotive career in 2003 as an apprentice technician at Carmax in Atlanta GA. It was there I received my training and received my first ASE Certifications in 2007. I currently hold ASE Cert A1-A8 with my L1. Between 07 and 09, I moved around a bit working for a fuel company called ASIG as a fuel equipment mechanic. I transfered to Dallas with a promotion to a GSE supervisor. Shortly I got got married and we had 2 children within within the next 2 years. After a year with ASIG, I pursued a position with Chrysler as a Used Vehicle Inspector. 6 month later I receive a call from the president of a trade school in Dallas called ATI Career Training Center and became an Automotive Instructor in 2010. In 2011, I transfer to Houston and became Automotive Program Director. In 2013, the school closed and I went back into the field, working for Pepboys as a Master Technician. I transfered to Jacksonville the same year. In June of 2014, I was offered a position at Subaru of Orange Park. Subaru sent me to all of their school and by the end of 2015 became Subaru Master Certified. Along with working at Subaru, I began working as an automotive instructor for a technical school called Jones Technical Institute where i'm still working. As of today, i'm still employed at Subaru, but work full time as a lead automotive instructor being up for promotion as the Automotive Program Director.
