The Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) valve is responsible for transferring excess gas from inside the crankcase into the intake manifold, where the gas can be used as fuel. These excesses gasses are transferred the rough the PCV valve hose. This system allows the vehicle to utilize excess gas, so that it is not wasted.
The PCV system is an important part of regular automotive maintenance. The PCV valve and valve hose should inspected during routine maintenance, and replaced regularly.
The PCV valve system ensures that your vehicle runs smoothly and efficiently. The PCV valve hose carries excess gas from the crankcase to the PCV valve, where it is added to the intake manifold, and used to fire the engine.
