Can you tell us more about what you do at YourMechanic?
I'm a Parts Advisor here at YourMechanic. I assist mechanics with resolving parts related questions, and I also make sure the right parts are matched with the right jobs.
Why did you join YourMechanic?
I was introduced to YourMechanic by a previous co-worker Brett Klynn, who is the Head of Sales and Business Development here. I was intrigued by YourMechanic's mobile concept and was interested in the online on-demand mechanic model.
What was your first car and what do you love or hate about it?
My first car was a 1979 Volkswagen Beetle Convertible, and I still have it! It is a great car because it is my first of many Volkswagen bugs and busses. It kickstarted my love for Volkswagens and all things automotive and mechanical.
What’s your dream car?
1955 Porsche 550 Spyder.
What one accomplishment are you most proud of?
I'm most proud of my son Milo, who is six years old now. He is in kindergarten and loves to build Legos and browse the internet. His favorite thing is the new Lego toolset to create things with.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
I have a collection of bicycles, cars, and scooters -- 21 total. I like to mechanically restore vintage bicycles and scooters. My goal is to leave the look as-found but making them run and function like new. I have old Schwinn cruisers, vintage Bianchi and some modern fat tire bikes. I have two living room scooters and a 1959 Lambretta TV175 in my kitchen.
