What Concerns Us
While the 2012 Infiniti M does tick a lot of boxes, it falls a bit short when it comes to trunk size. While the front passengers will certainly ride in comfort, the shorter cushions in the backseat are a bit less supportive. The fuel economy, though acceptable for the class, is somewhat less than some of the other comparable models available in the class.
Available Models
The 2012 Infiniti M is available with one of three engine options:
3.7-Liter V6
- 330 horsepower @ 7,000 rpm
- 270 lb-ft of torque @ 5,200 rpm
- EPA city/highway fuel economy: 18/26 mpg (RWD), 17/24 mpg (AWD)
5.6-Liter V8
- 420 horsepower @ 6,000 rpm
- 417 lb-ft of torque @ 4,400 rpm
- EPA city/highway fuel economy: 16/25 mpg (RWD), 16/23 mpg (AWD)
Major Recalls

The second recall is for a connector bolt for the engine oil cooler that was not manufactured to the appropriate strength. This could result in an oil leak and a drop in oil pressure that could lead to the engine seizing.
Common Issues
