I had one of those "my car makes a weird noise" issues, and although of course I couldn't get the thing to happen while we zipped up and down the highway, Travis was thoughtful as he took in the details of my explanation of what I'd been hearing. He came up with a few different possibilities, ruled out a bunch of other ones, and by the time the shakedown drive was done we landed on a likely scenario that would explain things. Opening up the hood and checking the condition of a few filters, fluids, and plugs, Travis found some evidence that made the diagnosis even more likely. Now, I have a much better sense of what may be going on, some specific next steps in the plan, and a solid quote for additional work that needs to be done anyway - and going through the same process with the local garage might have taken days, and cost ten times more.

My experience w/Michael was awesome! He showed up on time & was very professional, kind, & helpful. He answered all of my questions & got the repair done quickly but most important the repair was done correctly. He didn't do a half-ass job like mechanics I have dealt with in the past. I was quite pleased with my experience. He also informed me of concerns regarding previous work done on my car & showed me the work he had done. I felt at ease for once & didn't worry about being ripped off like past experiences. I will definitely be coming back to "Your Mechanic" for repairs in the future. I highly recommend them & Michael. It was beneficial to have Michael come to my garage and assess my vehicle. It saved me time and frustration from having to tow my rx8 to a dealership or a shop. His analysis was low to dead compression (meaning engine is dead). Luckily I got the bad news from home and he was savvy enough to look up engine replacement prices for me on the spot. I have further decisions to make but this service saved me from further frustration and lost time. Thank you Michael.
