Jason is not just incredibly knowledgeable, he's as honest a mechanic as you will ever find. I've had him out for my car before and I've always been very happy to be able to get him. I can't imagine taking my cars anywhere else to get them repaired or serviced. Back Info: Requested a pre-purchase inspection for a used vehicle at a large dealership. This was my very first experience with YOUR MECHANIC and I wasn't sure what I should expect or receive. The Service: I have some basic knowledge of vehicles (used), enough to know what I want, need and require, and where the pitfalls can be, however not versed on all types of vehicles. I say this because Gustavo showed his deep knowledge through the entire service. Yes, this is to be expected yet sometimes there are mechanics that do not have that level of experience with every Type of vehicle. Gustavo does, and he connects the dots quickly and explains things impeccably. Gustavo has a real passion for this! All while fielding my random questions regarding different areas that he wasn't currently involved in testing. (I was not trying to be annoying ... honestly. Just very curious.) He performed the inspection, fielded all of my questions, collaborated well with every concern brought to his attention, and maintained his report steps and tempo like a Champ! Let's just say we this, after spending the appointment time with him I trusted his experience so much that I ended up making the purchase with the test drive //only// done by him ( I rode shot-gun). That is //huge// for me (even thinking about not even test driving it myself would have seemed crazy to me) so that alone should tell you the level of confidence that had grown over the appointment time. He was able to diagnose a few key areas that I would need to pay focused attention to and provided a quote right there so that I not only knew what I was getting into but I was also able to use that information to negotiate favorably the price of the vehicle. I will be booking a follow-up service for those areas with him in about a month or so.
