Available Models
The standard engine in the 2012 Ford Fusion is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with 175 HP at 6000 RPM and 172 lb-ft of torque at 4500 RPM. It’s also rated at 22/30 MPG (city/highway) for the version with SelectShift automatic transmission.
If you want more power and torque, you can also opt for one of two V6 versions, one of which can use Flex-Fuel. Both of these engines have more muscle under the hood, but they both also suffer in the fuel economy department.
Major Recalls
Some 2012 Ford Fusion V6 models have been recalled because their steering assist systems may shut down unexpectedly. This issue can be resolved with any Ford dealer.
