My 2003 Nissan 350z won't start hooked up a battery charger however my back break lights are on and not allowing to get a full vjarhe to start Mechanic's Assistant: Have you checked the [brake](/topics-brake-nissan/) fluid? How's the level and when was it last changed? Charge to start y husband is working in the Virginia Islands where is the brake fluid located Mechanic's Assistant: Are you fixing your 350Z yourself? If the brake lights are stuck on you could have a bad brake switch on your pedal also you can unplug the switch to charge your battery the switch is on the brake pedal arm should be a black switch

you can unplug it or see it the little plastic stopper is missing on the pedal also

You might need to remove the lower plastic to make it easier to get at

There are 2 plugs for the brake pedal.

did you see if the stop that turns off the brake switch is missing or not If the brake lights are stuck on the car might not have power because it thinks you are trying to stop
