Warning Light is on Inspection $94.99 - $114.99 Get a Quote

Hello and thank you for your question. Air bags are a useful safety feature. If you live in a jurisdiction where auto inspections are mandated, the vehicle might fail inspection if any essential safety equipment is non functional. If you do not live in such an area, it is really up to you whether you want to maintain the air bag system in working order or not. The only caveat really is if someone other than you drives the car with the expectation that all built in safety features are functioning and then they get in a wreck and get injured or killed because the air bag was, unbeknownst to them, non functional. So, basically, the bottom line is if you alone drive the car you can do anything you want. But, if others drive the car, morally you have to inform the other driver(s) that an essential safety feature in the vehicle is disabled. If the system is faulty and you want it repaired, please simply request air bag warning light diagnostic and the responding certified mechanic will get this taken care of for you. If you have further questions or concerns, do not hesitate to re-contact YourMechanic as we are always here to help you.
